Album: 55 Chevy Gasser Project

This '55 210 2-door was parked under a barn shed in a secluded location and was seriously rusting away. It was an x-drag car evidenced by the gauge cluster, floor cutout for shifter, old school traction bars and other apparent things. Most parts were found stored elsewhere for the car (chrome, seats, etc.) and a long-block 350 was sitting on the origional 55' mounts. Had no trans. or driveshaft but the rear end was in tact. I later found another 350 (LT1) to replace the long block that came with the car. Same as with the 55, the engine was stored in a barn (different owner). Origonally belonging to an early Camaro Z-28 4-speed car and was transferred to a 65 GTO. The owner wanted to go back to the origional 389 tri-power for resale purposes, so pulled the 350 LT1 and stored it in a barn. My brother put me on to the engine and I made the purchase. The complete engine included headers, bellhousing, etc. - see pics).
