Dutch Antilles, home to 150,000 folks most of them descendants of African slaves. The island sits just 40 miles N of the coast of Venezuela but could hardly be more different.

We have company from many other countries in the anchorage. This is another crossroads where hundreds of cruisers from most of the world rub shoulders. There are public buses to downtown and free shuttle buses to major supermarkets daily.
