Camp at Cedar Lake
Here are some photos of our summer home at Cedar Lake in Maine. We live here for at least 6 months out of the year...moving in as soon as the road has is ready for travel...usually by the end of April. We do have a few weeks that the road is very muddy and the Assocation will close it. This is only to prevent people from rutting up the road and keeping the expenses down. We are located off route 11 outside of Millinocket, Me. This lake is spring fed and is always full...no power company lowering the water here! The lake is one mile by 2 miles...just making it into the lake catagory. We move back to town right after Thanksgiving before the lake freezes. We also plow the road to our camp each snowstorm..there are others up there who also plow, but we are almost to the end of the road, so we do have a little bit to plow that the others do not always get to.
If you're interested in buying, please contact us. At this time, we do not own the land, but it will be up for sale in the spring of 07. The camp sits on about 1.75 acreas of land. It has 255' of shorefront, with a small part of it a beach. The lake is stocked with splake. There are also perch, salmon, trout and a lot of other fish in here. I catch and release when I go. I love to fish and want to be able to enjoy it for years to come, so that is why I catch and release. You can contact us for the price by emailing us at mainelywoolyns_414@verizon.net The camp is on a floating slab, with drainage tiles in place to make sure the camp doesn't move. We have a new septic system, new bathroon, we use propane to heat our hotwater, cooking and heat.(Which are new) We also have a new Lopi woodstove. There is a loft with 2 beds and one large bedroom. We also have an unfinished room which started out to be a screened in porch, but the rain just won't stay out so have boarded the screens up until spring when we will put in windows or a patio door and make this into another bedroom. The camp is completely insulated, floors, walls and ceilings. Has new windows and doors too! The kitchen was built by the previous owner and we have not gotten to that yet. There is a new GE refrigerator and gas stove. And we are in compliance with LURC and have that certificate. There is also a one car garage that is moveable. It can be seen in some of the pictures in the other albums. Please feel free to contact us with any questions and our asking price. Once we buy the land, the price will go up considerably.
