"I TOOK THESE PICTURES"
The bottle of Siegel's Eqvalan - Is a liquid water soluble Ivermectin-based wormer. I JUST USED THIS - It worked and I liked it.!
It was sold to use for Pigeons. If you have Tiny Chickens it should also work on them.
The Directions say use 2 teaspoons per Gallon of water given for 3/5 consecutive days.
I also read that it helps control lice/mites when used, and that is why I bought it. I used it and now I don't see any lice on my birds.
But you should do your own research to find additional info on Ivermectin.
I do NOT dust tiny/new chicks because they get it on them anyway from cuddling in thier mothers feathers if you have dusted all the adults.
I also Sprinkle a small amount of 7 dust in the wood shavings when I clean the pens.
Another tip I can share is Cedar Shavings. I buy 3 bags of pine shaving to every bag of cedar shavings and I mix them 3-1 this helps repell all bugs.
Using Cedar alone would be strong and over whelming. 1/4 cedar 3/4 pine works well for me.
Do additional prevention such as cleaning the coops and dusting your birdswith poultry dust.
