This has a chair that goes UP and DOWN. Medicare would pay for about $5,200 of this, so there would be about $2,000 out of pocket. If we purchase a cheaper scooter, it isn't as manuverable, and medicare will not reimburse again for 5 years if we need to upgrade to an electric wheelchair.
