Lining up box columns on a 4 acre IBM building

These were 32 inch box columns that had to be lined up so the innershield welders could finish weld. I spent all summer and part of one fall doing this, mostly by myself. Got pretty good at it.. then started working with the innershield crew shortly after this picture was taken. See me in my innershield outfit on a float - first picture in Ironworkers 1 album! That was on a parking deck in downtown San Jose the next spring.
