Album: Guacarapo, Sucre State

We arrived fall 2004 and wondered, "is it safe to anchor here?" "will we be attacked by pirates?"

By the end of 2006, as we departed more than 2 years later, it is friends and family to us... we returned here time and again to recuperate, relax, repair the boat, reflect with a slower pace of life... it is a town of 500 population with typical small town foibles but it's a refuge and a haven for us.
