Album: Merida 2005 Tour of the Paramo

Iowa Institute was our first goal - 1 week of advanced study for me and 2 weeks of study for Diane - Spanish, that is.

After that we did tourist things, as much as possible limited by unbelievable rainstorms and floods. The high point of the experience was 4 days trekking on horseback leaving from Mucuchies just south of Merida. 3 nights were spent in Mucuposadas (tiny inns) run by campesino families.
