Album: 2005 - wandering about the Golfo de Cariaco

New Years day we were at the Rio Cariaco, at the far east end of the Golfo de Cariaco, where the Scarlet Ibis are found.

We traveled the Golfo, went to Porlamar in April, attempted to travel to St Lucia but turned back and fought with a transmission coupling problem for most of the year until July when we replaced the shaft and coupling. In August my back blew out, rehab in Caracas got me on the mend, and we visited Amazonas state in November. Oh yes, Merida was our land trip for February.
