Durango Colorado Stagecoach Ride
During our three day vacation in Durango, we went to nearby Mancos Colorado for an old-fashioned western Stagecoach Ride with the Bartels Mancos Valley Stageline. Apparently, this is the only thing of its kind in the country (where they rig up 4 horses to a big old stagecoach and take you out on the trail for a ride) and my whole family was extremely impressed. We took the dinner cruise which included a pretty awesome dinner, at a lodge that is great for the whole family. I definitely recommend you try the stagecoach. The guy sitting on the e Driver's Right of this stagecoach is Eric Bartel, who owns the business with his wife. He has a bunch of cowboys(and cowgirls) helping him and they are all very nice and add to the ambience. Spend some time looking at their stagecoach museum, and have Eric give you a tour - he is passionate about his coaches, horses, and history.
