From ancient times throughout the world people have gathered under the Full Moon to drum and dance. Dancers dance within the circle that is created by drummers and other musicians. The drums tune to rhythms of Nature, dancers move to the beat. Drum and dance celebration transforms discord into harmony; drumming and dancing help heal body, soul and community. Most cities have a center square or crossroads that can be good for gathering to empower dreams. Charlotte's center is Trade & Tryon and the best time to be there is the Full Moon. Group drumming creates a carrier wave for hopes and wishes so be ready to put on the air what you're wishing for you, for others and for the world. Bring intentions to mind and heart when music is flowing to power dreams and help make wishes come true. What's special about this Moon? All the Full Moons in 2006 are especially powerful because this is a year of Lunar Standstill or Via Lunis Extremis, the extreme path of the Moon. During this year, the Moon's orbit is expanded so the Moon spends more time outside the zodiacal boundary. Full Moons that happen when the Moon is "out of bounds" are the most powerful. These include the Full Moons of June 11th and July 10th. (Also the Full Moons of Dec and Jan '07.) Each month during a Major Lunar Standstill (through Mar 2007), the Moon passes through the Pleiades and crosses over the bright stars Spica and Antares. During this time, all places of natural power and energy flow lines become recharged. Lunar Standstill is to the Moon what Solstice is to the Sun. (Solstice means "Sun stand still") Solstice happens twice a year for a few days. A Major Lunar Standstill happens every 19 years and lasts for 18 months. The Harmonic Convergence happened during the 1987 Lunar Standstill, and the Berlin Wall came down soon after. The Woodstock Festival occurred during the 1968-69 Lunar Standstill. Massive protests the following fall turned the tide of public opinion against the Viet Nam war. Major Lunar Standstill brings a tide of progressive energy that washes away outmoded structures and old modus operandi. New discoveries are made, new inventions change the world, new social movements begin. Innovations occur more often when the Moon is out of bounds because then imagination is expanded and lunar nature is given more latitude. Also supporting positive changes this spring and summer is a long lasting trine between Jupiter and Uranus. This is the best pairing of planets for good luck, innovation, for taking chances and winning against the odds. Barring Dark of Moon times (Jun 25-26, Jul 24-25) anything started during these next two months is generally favored for success. Of course our luck is improved the more we make music and dance at Full Moons and other times that feel good. Good times to party and/or be specially creative are while the Moon is out of bounds. Jupiter rises just before the Full Moon on Friday, June 9th. Jupiter with the Moon is always a blessing. Venus is rising now at about 5 am and Venus is in home sign Taurus which is a special boon for lovers (and bankers). The June Full Moon includes a very lucky grand trine (equilateral triangle) along with Venus forming a kite pattern. This grand trine kite releases its power through Venus, the goddess of Love and Soul power. Venus is powered this year to restore natural law and order in the world (Al Gore has his natal Venus at 26 Taurus conjunct the star AlGol.) Stay tuned..
