In her book - Creating with Paint, New ways, New Materials - Sherrill Kahn squezes the paint directly onto the surface and pulls it across the surface with the edge of the card.

I find it easier to control the amount of paint by applying the paint with a paint brush onto the plastic card. Either way you do it ... it's FUN! Enjoy! Belinda (copyright by Belinda Schneider)
