In spring, when this lovely primrose resumes growth,
the yellow farina on the underside of the leaves
is so conspicuous that I at first think
there is an early spring flower in bloom!
The large clusters of white-eyed, lilac flowers
top 16-inch stems. It enjoys constantly moist,
fertile soil in full sun at my 10,000-foot altitude.
