Northern Bog Violet grows wild in the wetlands below Mountain View Experimental Gardens and can occasionally be found on nearby drier soils, as well. It is a diminutive violet, not more than 2 inches tall, with small, blue flowers.

Give Bog Violet rich, constantly moist soil in full sun (cool-summer climates) to partial shade.
