Snowball Saxifrage is a cheerful, early bloomer of wet meadows and bogs in the subalpine and alpine regions of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It begins to bloom when it is only 1" tall and, as time passes, the flower stem elongates until its snow white pompoms dance 8 inches above the ground. For best flowers, site Snowball Saxifrage in constantly moist, fertile soil in full sun (cool-summer climates) to light shade.
