As its name implies, Alpine Lousewort inhabits alpine and subalpine regions of the Rocky Mountains. It is a short but very conspicuous Lousewort that likes to keep company with Arctic Gentian, Arctic Willow and Marsh Marigold in cold, wet, boggy soil. A cool-summer climate with constantly wet soil is a must for this challenging species.
