Flaming Catchfly's large, reddish-orange blossoms set off by the dark red leaves stop people passing by my garden. This is a very easy species to grow from seed. In moist, fertile soil, it will attain a height of 12-14 inches and will produce many large flowers in mid- to late summer. It will tolerate full sun in a cool-summer climate; otherwise, site it in light to dappled shade.
