This type of pot provides greater ease in the care of your violet and more beautiful violet plants. I have won several blue ribbons with my violets by using this type of pot. In fact, my violets have grown so large that I have needed to special order larger pots for them!!! Many other plants do well in these pots as well. What makes these pots so very special is that the violet can water itself as it needs from the bottom. - This is the preferred method of watering for violets – truly the best kept secret of having gorgeous violets!!! Each pot has two pieces: The base The ceramic base is glazed inside and out & adorned with delicate hand painted flowers. The insert The top of the insert is glazed around the top. The bottom portion of the insert is not glazed and is porus. This feature allows for the plant to slowly absorb the water as needed. This eliminates over watering and under watering problems. Most plants will stayed watered for 7 – 12 days !!! This piece is hand painted with enamels then baked & sealed for long lasting beauty & enjoyment. These are not decals.
