Stroke around centers
Load brush with Engine Red and Berry Wine, up on chiseled edge just above the center, then surround the center spot in a rounded 'U' type stroke. The Engine Red side of the brush will be next to the center part of the flower. Immediately make dots in the wet paint in a curved pattern to imply a rounded flower. Sometimes a ridge of paint will form around the center as you stroke and that's a neat dimensional plus! If the paint dries too soon, restroke and apply dots. Beginners can make the flower top in two strokes, like a grape, untill used to creating the single 'U' stroke.
