Fleeces for sale Rancho Borrego Negro has been raising natural colored sheep for nearly 30 years. Located in the northern foothills of San Diego County, Fallbrook California, has been billed as "the Avocado Capital of the World." We find the semi-rural atmosphere and temperate climate to be right for growing just about everything, even natural colored wool. The flock is a spinner's flock, which means it is comprised of sheep from many different breeds, selected for the color and type of wool they produce. Our original stock came from Anne Blinks in Monterey. They were Lincoln/Corriedale crosses that she called "Black Jacks." Over the decades we have introduced a variety of other breeds, always trying to maintain high standards for wool color and quality, as well as for sound, healthy sheep. From time to time we have lambs, breeding stock, and pelts for sale. I hope you will find photos interesting. Please let me know if you are interested in any of the fleeces currently available, or want to reserve one for next year. |
