These are pictures of a freeform necklace that I made. The big beads are beautiful cobalt blue lampworked beads with ivory swirls. They remind me of satellite pictures of a hurricane. As I made the piece, I was trying to recreate frothy, foamy ocean waves smashing into the beach during a hurricane. This piece was created in the aftermath of the tsunami - reflecting some of my fears and the uncertainty I felt living in Malaysia at the time.
