OFFSET HAPPY SWIRLS
Karen chose a big offset groom's cake for her reception today at Shoreline Grill. It's an 8" square on top of a 12" square, and the whole cake serves 104. It's a fudge cake with fudge filling, and the embellishment is 'Happy Swirls" on both tiers, with a lighter design on a darker fudge cake. Three tiny but beautiful white orchids adorn the elegant cake so that it matches the bridal cake. (Yes a few flowers are just fine on the groom's cake!) The glass bricks with lights under the cloth works great (careful--no HOT lights please!) The cake sells for $2.25/serving in the square or $2 in the round. Our fudge cake is so good that we don't even leave a box for leftovers--there's never a bite left no matter how much we cook!
