I believe that anyone who has knit for as long as I have (don't ask!) has come up with some original designs. There's nothing earth-shaking in my designs, but I did develop them to solve particular problems.

Usually I have a yarn that I want to use but can't find a pattern I really like for it. Or I need to make something of a particular color, and the yarns I have in my stash in the correct colors don't go with any patterns I have. This was the case with my Stash-busting Afghans. I had to match the decor in the motorhomes, and the yarns I had that worked weren't suitable for any afghan patterns I had. Voila! An original design.
