As a Treasure Box Artist, I am part of a group of volunteer artists across the country who create treasure boxes for chronically ill children at Shriners hospitals around the world. We paint the boxes and pass them on to the Shriners organization, who put little toys and treasures into them to take the kids minds off their illness or surgery.

As artists, we hope the boxes bring each child comfort and the knowledge that many people understand what they are going through. We will be holding Treasure Box Painting Parties monthly at the South Lake Art League. The public is welcome to come and paint with us.
