San Gorgonio Mountain 2005 "Go where you may within the bounds of California, mountains are ever in sight, charming and glorifying every landscape." -John Muir July 10, 2005 - At 11,502 feet, San Gorgonio Mountain is the highest point in San Bernardino County and the highest peak in Southern California. "Old Greyback" as some of the locals call it is a strenuous 16.8 mile and 5500 foot elevation gain hike. My friend, Chad Morgan, and I set out on a Sunday morning to accomplish such a task.
