CHARA OFFSET
Chara and Jorge were married in Vegas, and today they invited all their friends to a huge reception to celebrate their nuptials. We did a 'his and hers' matching groom's cake. This cake was another of the 'crowdpleasers'--Mexican Vanilla with a hint of lemon and almond and with Bavarian Cream filling. The cake is a three-tier and it serves 168 (or 150 if you're keeping your top tier.) Any color ribbon can be used, but Chara's was green. Grosgrain works better than satin because satin droops, stretches and darkens. The scrollwork was done in gold with gold dragees (shiny, edible beads) sparkling on each tier. The flowers were provided by the bride, arranged free by Austin Cake Lady. The cake sells for $2.50/serving not including cost of flowers and delivery. Dragees are $10 and really do make the cake look special. I'm getting sooooo many phone calls about cakes these days, and they're telling me that many of my competitors are charging twice what we charge (and more!)Our cakes taste as delicious as they look because everything is homemade from scratch...and there is NOTHING better than southern home cooking! :-) Our number is 512-258-3703...call early and don't lose your date. It's first come, first serve! We love what we do and are really happy when it shows! :-)
