These are my sewing machines

I am now the proud owner of an Antique Singer Treadle sewing machine! It was built in 1897 and was owned by two people prior to me...the original owner and the woman that I bought it from. The woman that I bought it from, bought it directly from the original owner's family at auction. They told her the history of the machine, which she relayed on to me. The original owner sewed on the machine alot, and her family tried and tried to convince her to buy an electrical machine, to which she refused. I just love knowing a little of the history of the machine and will often think of this woman when I sit down to sew on it.

I own a Janome 6600 P, and its computerized...just love that machine. Its like having a computer that sews! I also own the Janome 6500/6600P Yahoo group and we have over 5000 members! I own a Janome 760 for taking to classes and such because even though it only weighs 12 lbs, it does almost everything my big machine does. Love that little machine! I was recently sent the new Horizon 7700 from Janome. Its a loaner and is a beautiful machine. I started another group specifically for this particular machine and we have over 1000 members already! AND...I recently purchased a Handi-Quilter 16 inch long arm, sit-down model...it sits in a table instead of on a frame, but I modified it so that it will work with my machine quilting frame too. However, now that I'm going to start making smaller (art) quilts, (hopefully!) and since I have this new Horizon machine with an 11 inch harp, I'm going to sell my Handi-quilter. If you're interested, let me know!
