Welcome to my Picturetrail Albums... Thanks for stopping by. The photos you will see in these first two albums are my first year's seedlings.. there are about 300 this year. The seeds for these were planted in the fall of 2003, kept in a greenhouse over the winter and planted out in Spring 2004. I have 6 additional raised beds and a terraced area where the seedlings I planted in the fall of 2004 are living and will bloom next year. Obviously, at this stage in the game they are all under observation. I grow about 400 named varieties of daylilies on my small third of an acre lot, plus about 1,300 or so seedlings. I'm not a commercial seller of daylilies except maybe the occasional listing on the auction. Mostly I grow these wonderful flowers and hybridize them for my own enjoyment. What joy they bring when they show their new faces each year! I'm hoping to intro some of my own daylilies in a couple of years. Most of these selections are tetraploids.. the few Diploids I have selected are notated. I know the parentage of these seedlings, however I have chosen not to list them here.
