This cherished girl has been an extremely important member of our family here at Southern Sands Kennels for the past 4 years! She came to us in the early spring of 2004 and has been our darling ever since. Deja is an especially loving girl with a comical personality. :) Nothing EVER gets her down. . .she lives to make you smile! She has been an endless source of great love and LAUGHTER to us over the years.

We have now decided to let Deja bring joy to another lucky home where she will live happily for the rest of her entire life. She has mothered 4 OUTSTANDING litters for us and is raising her final one for us right now. She has done her "duty" beautifully. This gal has earned her retirement in grand style! We are blessed to be able to enjoy her children (including our very own Dan!) and grandchildren through the years as we continue to develop our line.

Deja is completely housetrained, crate trained and leash trained, and she is a good traveler. She is a very happy-go-lucky girl who warms up nicely to new people. Once she does, she begs shamelessly for attention! And being here with our cats, she LOVES kitties, too. Deja is very eager to please, and she gets along beautifully with other dogs. The girl doesn't have a single "bossy" bone in her body! She is all about playing, having a good time and being non-stop totally silly.

Deja is very obedient with her people and is just a joy to know!!! She has been many places and met many people in her life so far, and she should adjust to her new home and family with relative ease. Because we do not have any small children ourselves, though, we usually do not place our grown dogs in homes with children. We wish for Deja to go to a mature person or couple who has a moderately active lifestyle. She likes to get outside for some exercise every once in awhile, so average-to-outdoorsy people are the best for her. As well as being a marvelous housepet, Deja will make a good traveling companion, walking partner and even an agility/obedience competator! And although Deja is very much the prim and proper young lady when in the lap of her family. . .she is equally as rugged and energetic when outdoors.

Deja's conformation is exemplary. She is a gorgeous female Rat Terrier with super-sharp standing ears, a PERFECT scissors bite and robust conformation in a square, sturdy package. She is exquisitely put together and a fabulous representative of the breed with her great spirit and zest for life. Deja is AKC-FSS, UKC, UKCI and NRTR registered. Her papers will be provided to her new owner upon the time she is received.

Deja will be spayed after she finishes raising this litter, so that and a fresh dental polishing will be done prior to her placement. All of her healthcare including her vaccinations and heartworm prevention are up to date, and her hips, patellas and cardiac status are OFA certified for full verification of her excellent health. Her new owner will also be supplied with her thorough health record, written health guarantee, comprehensive pedigree and a little red "goodie bag" of many complimentary items including a packet of her super-premium kibble, etc.
