A collection of photos and other items signed by the seven astronauts selected for Project Mercury which took the USA's first steps in manned spaceflight.

Between 1961 and 1963 two sub-orbital and four orbital flights were made totalling some two days and six hours in space. The only astronaut not to make a flight was Donald K 'Deke' Slayton who was removed from flight status due to a heart condition.
