I took a class with my mom on decorative painting taught by a friend of hers about 16 years ago. I loved painting, but it was difficult for me and I gave it up after we stopped going to the classes. Eight years ago I came across a line of painting books by Donna Dewberry. It seemed as though they were made for me. Lots of pictures, hardly no words. Step by step instructions. Soon I adapted her technique into my own style.
