Max ... Our Forever Friend
This is Max, our black lab that was Sophie's first and best friend. Max passed away one week after Sophie came home from her surgery. He was almost 14 years old. It was just as though he hung on long enough to make sure she was going to be ok. We'll miss him so much. He is gone, but never forgotten. He was cremated and his ashes sit in a special tin on his favorite chair in our livingroom ... the kids draw pictures and put doggy bones next to it!

Max was so courageous...waiting for Sophie to come home. I can only imagine how devasted you all were with his passing. What a great family all of you are!
