Leo - Circa 1885 At one day old, Leo was brought to the New York Catholic Foundling Home. At 3 years old he was put on the Orphan Train. The train would stop at different towns and people who wanted a child would look them over and choose the one they wanted. Leo is a 15" tall fabric doll. His face is embroidered, painted, and needle sculpted. Alpaca hair is hand sewn to head. Flannel shirt, faux suede knickers, long stockings, lined boots, fishing hat, & newspaper bag are all original designs and handmade.
