Hello everyone! Here’s a picture of my four year old twins and one of my recent Walgreen’s haul. On the left, blowing the kiss is Devlin, and dancing on the right is Liam! As a Mom, I would like to say they are pretty happy about all of the free OralB Cross Action toothbrushes they are holding and they can’t wait to start brushing their teeth! However reality hits and it’s most likely the Cocoa Puffs they are excited about! I know this doesn’t look like very much, but I felt like I had a pretty good haul this particular day. Rebate items shown here were for the April Easy Saver Catalog, and this is only a portion of what I was able to apply to that month’s rebate. April was the month that had “buy $20 in P&G products & get a $10 gift card”. I was able to stock up on hair color very cheaply, and get the gift card. You can see some of the hair color has the bright orange clearance sticker….they were reduced down to $3.49! I was able to use the Easy Saver $2 coupon, making those clearance ones $1.49. This particular week, the hair color was also on sale for $6.99. For a total of eight hair colors, I used the $2 Easy Saver coupon times 8 for a $16.00 savings + two manufacture coupons of $5 off two + two manufacture coupons of B1G1 so actually only paid $1.94 for all of the hair color and got back $10.00. Thank goodness we aren’t limited on hair color purchases the way we are on Sudafed! The OralB toothbrushes were of course with the $5 Easy Saver coupon + $1 manufacture coupon, making them free as they were regularly priced $5.99. The Colgate 360 toothbrush had a $1 profit on it after coupon + ESC rebate. The Trident gum and the Dr. Pepper are due to the triple play of using the Walgreen’s B1G1 in ad coupon + the .89 manufacture coupon + the Free Dr. Pepper with purchase of two gums coupon! Thanks to the original poster on that deal! The Dr. Pepper came in handy as we had an end of school year party for my second grader. The Ricola was also due to a post on Chit Chat. I only had two coupons to get two free bags. They are sugar free, so good for my diabetic husband! The Schick Quattro razor was bought with a rain check sale price of $8.99. I had a coupon to get the refill cartridges free with the razor purchase, value $9.99 plus I had a $2.00 manufacture coupon on the razor. There was also $4.00 back on the ESC, so for $2.99 I got the razor and a package of refill cartridges. And then finally there is the twins’ personal favorite, the Cocoa Puffs. These are the small boxes that Walgreens has been having for $1.00. I had 2 of the Internet Smart Source coupons of $1 off of two, so got 4 boxes at .50 each. By the time I got around to taking this picture we were down to two boxes. These small boxes don’t last long when you’ve got five kids eating the cereal! One huge piece of advice I want to give everyone regarding Walgreens is RAINCHECK, RAINCHECK, and RAINCHECK! And I do mean that many! When something good is on sale, and you know good coupons may come out in the future, get a rain check, and get a couple! Walgreen’s rain checks don’t have an expiration date, so hang on to them and use them when you get the good coupons! Example, the ACT II popcorn goes on sale with their in ad coupon for the price of $1 for 4. We’ve seen the manufacture coupons that make this popcorn free when combined with Walgreen’s coupons. I just tell the cashier that the flavor I like is gone, could I get a rain check. I do the same with the hair color if I don’t see my shade, I ask for a rain check. I will do this more than once if I can. This way I have several rain checks for these items and am prepared when good coupons come out! Remember if you have a choice of colors, flavors, scents, etc get a rain check. Another suggestion is for those of you who do not have access to on line Chit Chat. Really, really try to get access, through your local library, or senior center. There are so many tips on good deals available here. With so many people working together to put the great deals together, there are very few deals that are missed. I would not have known about the Ricola coupons to combine with the Walgreens in ad. I certainly did not think of the Trident gum and Dr. Pepper combinations! These are a few of the extra deals I got from reading Chit Chat. I know it can be frustrating with out a computer, but before I had one, I would go to the library as often as possible and use their computers. Good luck and I look forward to seeing YOUR post on Chit Chat!!
