Diaper Deal of the Century! “Hello! My name is Rebecca, and I got in on the diaper deal of the century! First, I have to say that I have been a member of RC for about 3½ years now. I started when was pregnant with my 3-year-old. I got really into it once I decided to stay home with her, and this is now my way of life! I now have a 3-month-old as well. “As soon as I found out I was pregnant with my second child, I knew I needed to start looking for diaper deals. My first child was still wearing the Pull-Ups from the famous Pull-Ups deal, so I hadn't had to buy diapers in a long while! “My first find was at Walgreens. I was in there looking for some deals w/coupons when I came across the store-brand diapers on sale for $4 each and there was a rebate for them for $8 back with the purchase of two packs. Well, that meant free diapers! I didn’t buy many store brand diapers with my first one until she was about two years old, and then I wondered why I hadn’t before! I have since tried several different store brands. Some I like, and some I don’t, but I knew Walgreens were okay and they were free, so I got the two packs. “Then I had gotten a pack of Pampers on clearance at Target and I had a coupon, so I paid $2 for the pack. I didn't get but a few packs from friends and family as baby gifts before my daughter was born. I knew I had to find more diapers so I wouldn’t be paying a ton of money when we ran out! “Well, I hit the diaper jackpot one day by total accident! I was going to run into my local Publix grocery store to pick up some items that would be free after coupons. When I walked in, I saw several buggies parked up front overflowing with all kinds of items. The four buggies full of diapers and wipes caught my attention, so I had to go check it out. They were all marked 50% off or more! These were mega packs of Huggies and large bags of Pampers and Huggies wipes. They also had store brand diapers for $2.50 a bag! Then I realized I had manufacturer's coupons on the wipes and the diapers! SWEET!! The Huggies diapers were regular priced $14.99 for the mega packs, and they were now marked $7.49! I had several coupons for $2 off any Huggies diapers; so that brought the price down to $5.49 a pack! If that wasn't enough, I then saw a buggy FULL of Cover Girl cosmetics. The sign on the buggy said 25¢ each! I couldn’t believe my eyes! I also had coupons for the cosmetics for $1 off any one. Publix gives overage on the coupons, so I knew I would make 75¢ off each coupon that I could use towards the diapers. If that wasn’t enough already, I then remembered there was a coupon in their store flier for $5 off your order when you buy any three Cover Girl cosmetics!!!! I then figured it all out! If I bought three cosmetics and one pack of diapers, it would be $1.76!!! The wipes were $2.50 on sale, and I had 25¢/1 coupons, so it would make them $2 after the coupon doubled! My total would be 24¢ plus tax for three Cover Girls, 1 mega pack Huggies, and 1 large bag of wipes! I was so excited! I ended up doing several orders and using all my coupons. “They still had lots of makeup left, so I ended up using the overage from the $5 coupon to get the store brand diapers for free. They also had lots of other items marked down for 25¢ that I got, but they are not pictured. Some of them were infants Mylicon drops, baby shampoo, lotions, etc. “Well, I thought I wouldn’t need diapers for a long time. Then I got to figuring about how many diapers we could go through with a new little one. I decided I would keep my eyes open for another great diaper deal but never knew there was one right around the corner! “I got my CVS ad for the week, and I saw they had their store brand diapers on sale for B1G1F! They are regularly priced $8.99 each here. If you have not used their diapers, they are great! Especially the ones in the red bags w/Snoopy on the front. I love them! Anyway, I had just gotten a coupon at the bottom of my receipt for $2 off any CVS diapers. I also had several of the $2/$10 purchase coupons from the little booklets at the pharmacy. I also had $10 in extra bucks from a previous sale, so I went in and got four packs of diapers for $17.98 minus my $2/$10 coupon=$15.98 minus the $2 CVS coupon=$13.98 minus $10 extra bucks=$3.98 for four packs of diapers! I was thrilled! “Then I realized they have a promotion they run all year that for every five packs of jumbo CVS diapers you buy, you get one pack free! I went back and got two more packs for $8.99 and used a $3/$10 CVS coupon and a $2/$10 coupon for $3.99 total! After two days, a coupon printed for a free pack! Each free pack I got from the B1G1F promo and the free pack I got with the coupon that printed counted toward the total for another free pack! All said and done, I have lots of diapers! I then went to thenurseryroom.com and printed off the rebate for $2 back with any store brand diaper, so I will be getting $2 back by mail! “CVS was also running their store brand wipes on sale for $1.99 for an 80-count pack. They had a pack that had a free 80-count refill attached to it for the same price of $1.99!!!! Each time I would go in to get my free pack of diapers with my coupon that would print after buying five packs, I would get two packs of diapers (since they were B1G1F) and one pack of the bundled wipes. I would use the free diaper coupon and one $2/$10 coupon. I would walk out with two bags of diapers and the wipes for tax only! I love it! “In the picture you see lots of diapers and my two beautiful daughters, Haley and Ashley. I tried my best to stack the diapers so they could all be seen but found that to be nearly impossible! They all kept falling. I could have never been an architect! At one point, they were starting to fall, and my three-year-old daughter, Haley, screamed, ‘RUN!’ I couldn’t help but laugh! “Here are the totals--14 mega packs of diapers, 25 jumbo packs of diapers, 10 packs of trial Pampers, and lots of wipes. There are over 1,592 diapers and 2,608 wipes. I also found a box of 28 trial packs of Pampers after I took the picture that I had put up after my first daughter grew out of that size. We have also used several bags of diapers and a few things of wipes already so those could not be pictured! All of this cost me less than $75!!! I think we are set for awhile thanks to RC and my couponing skills I learned from you all!” Rebecca Vinson, Pinson, AL
