Thanks to Albertson's and Sav-On I won't need Band Aids and Toothbrushes for years! Even with sharing! I was late to jump on this band wagon and had initial disappointments when the first Albertson's I went to was out of Band Aids and the second didn't print out the $10 coupon. But then on Chit Chat a poster (THANK YOU whoever you were) put a link of a copy of the ad in for Sav-On. Went there next and success!! Not only that, but they had plenty of the $4.99 Oral-B Advantage Toothbrushes that were free after rebate, and it printed a new one with each purchase, making them ALL FREE! The first one only cost $3.99 thanks to a $1 coupon. And even more fun (and shocking!), the cashier encouraged me to purchase as much as I wanted and she didn't once complain!! I didnt want to appear too greedy so I only got 5 sets the first time, but came back the next day and then the Band-Aids were gone! Still some Oral-B so got a few of those. But then Michelle reminded me in her post that other items worked; Reach tooth brushes & tooth paste combined with $2.52 more purchase created FREE items and a $10 coupon. So I went back to Albertsons and got a set. Yep. It worked. Went back and got 5 more sets; although this time was not so easy. I had to fight with a cashier who was sure I was doing something wrong luckily for me her two supervisors didnt seem to mind and seemed happy to learn of the deal. Would have gotten more there, but didnt feel to welcome and ran out of time.
Through the next couple of days I hit a few more Albertsons and a few more Sav-ons and had I more time I probably would have done more, but it doesnt always work that way. I ended up with: 68 Band Aids, 12 Oral B Advantage, 18 Reach Kids Tooth Brushes, 5 Reach Kids Tooth Paste, 3 Kleenex, 1 Lipton Onion Soup, 1 Ritz Crackers, 1 Juice, 2 Nerds (had to cover tax on two sets), 1 package paper plates, 1 Nail polish w/free lip gloss (had to get something fun and unnecessary), 10 1-litter Bottles of water (not shown in picture), 5 lb hamburger, 2 York Peppermint Patties, 2 Yard Long Stickers (bribery for kids!) and I still have $15 to spend. This I did on the spur of the moment with very few other coupons. I can only imagine how much fun some people had who were able to plan their trips! Thanks for this; it was a bit of work and lots of fun! Not bad for 3 days work! Now, if only Johnsons & Johnson will do this again soon!
The picture shows my daughter, Jenna 4, who stuck with me through several visits without too much complaint and most of our "loot". (two pics are attached, you can pick whichever one you like best!)
