Wow, wow, wow, and WOW! What more can I say? The current Albertsons/Johnson & Johnson deal tops virtually any other deal that I can remember
even better than the recent CVS free item coupons. I read about this deal on the Refund Cents webpage, and unfortunately I got a late start. While I usually check the site a few times a day, there were a few days this week that I was out of town and missed it.
In short, when you purchased 5 Johnson & Johnson items from a list (Band-Aids, Reach toothbrushes, etc.), the checkout machine would spit out a coupon good for $10 off your next shopping order. What made this deal doubly incredible was that many of the products were on sale! Band-Aids were 10 for $10 -- $1 each! Many toothbrushes and toothpastes were $1.50. Of course, coupons on these items made the deal even sweeter.
After I first read about this deal, I was hesitant. I had no idea if my Albertsons had the same deal. But I had little to lose, as Band-Aids were $1 each, and I had coupons good for $.55/1. So I picked up 5 boxes (supplies were already running low) and headed to the self-checkout register. Sure enough, as my order was completing, the machine spit out the coupon I had hoped for! I think the people in line behind me could hear my heart beating with excitement!
Once you have your first $10 off coupon, the fun really begins! I went back to the store to find more Band-Aids and, because five of these would only cost $5, I could choose additional items that I needed from the store that would total about $5, and Id get everything for free using the $10 coupon I had just received AND RECEIVE ANOTHER $10 OFF YOUR NEXT ORDER COUPON AT CHECKOUT! In multiple transactions, I purchased produce, milk, meat, and Chefboyardee cans for the new movie ticket deal. I paid virtually nothing maybe a few cents if I went over $5 in additional items.
There are 2 Albertsons stores very close to my house, and they both very quickly ran out of regular Band-Aids. My kids have outgrown superheroes and cartoon characters, but I grabbed the Batman and Care Bears Band-Aids that were left. I can donate them to my kids school, sell them at a garage sale, or send them to my young niece and nephew in another state. Once the Band-Aids were totally depleted, I started completing the deal with Reach toothbrushes and kids toothpastes. With those items costing $1.50 each, my additional product purchase was limited to $3 in order to get my order free. Still a fantastic deal. Free J&J products, $5 in products of my choice for free
.and unlimited!!!
In my last few orders, since I was in a rush, I decided to purchase only the Johnson & Johnson items, take my new $10 off coupon, and pay for the order with cash. Each time I did that, I paid $5 but received a $10 coupon, so in essence they paid me $5 for taking their product out of the store. Now I have $70 (seven $10 coupons) to use at Albertsons the next time I shop. Im proudly displaying those coupons in the picture.
The picture shows most, but not all, of the items I purchased. Some of the items were already given to a friend. And while I would love to continue to brag about my deal, I need to run. Its Saturday afternoon, and this deal is good through tonight. Im going to hop in the car and drive 10 miles to another Albertsons location and see what I can find
.
Thanks to the person that originally informed Michele about this deal, and thanks Michele for posting it on the website.
