“I found out about the Johnson & Johnson deal at Albertsons on May 4th. I went to our local Albertsons and found tons of character Band Aids 10/$10.00. At first, I bought $5.00 and groceries getting a Catalina coupon for $10.00 back. THEN I realized I could buy 5 boxes of Band Aids and groceries totaling a tad over $5.00, and use a previous Catalina coupon and change to pay. That made the deal much more fun! I went back again that night. I hadn't planned this deal out time wise and didn't have a huge chunk of time to invest to it, AND it was pouring down rain here, but whenever we were out, I went by Albertsons to do the deal at least twice. Friday, we had a school function in the next town over, so with kids in tow (8, 6, and 4) I headed to the Albertsons there. There were tons of Band Aids there too! After going through a few times, my 6 year said "Mommy, I don't think we need any more Band Aids." He was right we didn't. I tried to explain that I knew we didn't too, but for a few days when we buy 5 boxes of Band Aids they end up free and we get $5.00 to spend in the store. That made no sense either. Then I really threw him for a loop when I said we could each get a doughnut from the Albertsons bakery. I had three little minds working on things to do with all these Band Aids. When we started laying the Band Aids out and counting them my 8 year old caught on, knowing that this scene was familiar! The deal is still running a while more here, but so far we have 65 boxes of Band Aids and over $65.00 in food. (Madelyn is pictured here with our loot, she is wearing a Band Aid for the picture) I may need to start breaking out of the box as another RMCer put it and start "buying" other Johnson & Johnson items. I know that we'll find a use for them all!” Kathy Eller Lompoc, CA
