Tree of no life
On our previous summit attempt I sat in this natural, hollowed out tree trunk to wait for Chad to keep warm during the snow storm. Only afterwards upon talking with the rangers did they inform me that a hiker died doing the same thing a couple of years ago. Note to self: to keep warm, keep moving and DO NOT sit in a tree trunk!
