Christmas 2004

After decking the halls and enjoying a brief early Christmas snow, we started off celebrating the holidays with a visit from Art's parents and his brother. They delivered gifts from down South, enjoyed a dinner and brunch with us and even joined my parents at my Church to hear me and my daughters sing the Christmas Cantata with the Choir. On Christmas Eve, we had our traditional celebration at my parent's house with my sister and her daughter, Heather. We missed my brother David and his family who were going to join us, but we're so happy that David is recovering well after his heart attack in mid December. At night, on Christmas Eve, I sang a solo of "O Holy Night" for the Candlelight service at the Church. It was a really beautiful service. To hear an excerpt of my singing O Holy Night, click on the first picture on the left and then click the option to "PLAY VOICEOVER" that appears over the picture. To hear me sing 30 seconds of another carol, click on the second picture down and repeat the "Play voiceover" option.

We decided not to travel on Christmas Day for the first time and stayed home at the Highlands for the Holidays. Santa finally got to come down the chimney. Joey was quite upset about whether or not Santa would know which of the 6 fireplaces to use, but apparently Santa did know where to go and the kids all enjoyed their goodies he left. Joey loved his Rescue Hero Command Center from Santa; his SpeedStars Half Pipe Race Way and anything Scooby Doo from Grandma and Bill; his Cardboard Cottage from AuntLisa and his Spaceship Tent from Art's parents. Drew loved his portable DVD player from Aunt Lisa and his grandparents and even the treasure hunt to find it. Breezy and Miranda were thrilled with anything and everything from American Eagle. Hard to believe another Christmas is behind us and so is another year. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and I wish you all a Happy & Healthy 2005...
