8 "internet friends" converged on Washington DC in Oct 2004 for a week's vacation. There were 4 from the UK - Lionel & Pauline from N. Yorkshire; Jennifer from Shropshire, & Pat from Norfolk. There were 4 from the USA; Roberta & Alan from Michigan, Marcia & Sally from Ohio.

An experiment in turning "virtual" friends into "real" friends. I think it worked. No fights broke out, we learned things about each other, we had some laughs, and we ate well (and even had the occasional glass of wine!) I hope these photos reflect our mood.
