Red Toile Sample
This interlined sample shows that you can have a box pleat look without using much fullness. Simple tucks to the back also allow for a nice stack back. The scalloped top edge uses iron-on interfacing to hold its shape. Tavern Hill Sample.

Susan, do you have a photo of the back of the panel showing the tuck? Did you use buckram? Mine needs to be functional with a sturdy header as I would like to put my drapery pin at bottom of pleat so the header is above drapery rings and rod.

This is very pretty! Have you made this mock box pleat without a scalloped top? On average, what would the finished width at the top be with a single width of drapery weight fabric with sateen plus lining? Thanks!

Yes Jeannie, the tucks can be as small as 1" (which will give you 2" total in the pleat). A drapery pin is placed in the back of the tuck. Thanks for viewing my albums!
