"Tigie", a 19-foot, self-contained RV by

joined the Hendrix family in late April 2000. He's a small rig with high clearance and an adventurous spirit. Since acquiring "Tigie", Klaus and Jane have camped in all 11 western states in areas so remote that the typical RV can only "dream" of them.

Although "Tigie" is built on a 2-wheel-drive truck chassis, his high clearance has allowed the Hendrixes to push their frontiers of exploration deep into the backcountry of the West, along rutted dirt roads and even on "roads" of slickrock.

The photos in this album recall the many interesting and usually scenic campsites "Tigie" has shared with the Hendrixes. Unless otherwise stated, all the campsites are free. Some are developed public campgrounds but many are dispersed or "wild" campsites on U.S. public lands.
