Our Fur Babies Photos Max is a very special friend. He was a Registered Therapy Dog and brought joy to all those people who he come in contact with. Max and Nedra volunteered together for 5 years and started a program at Providence Hospital and Providence Hospice in Waco, TX. Max has brought joy to everyone he who's life he has touched. Max has since retired and is now enjoying retirement. Rufus is a golden retriever we adopted from a Golden Retriever rescue lived with us for 6 years before he crossed the rainbow bridge Feb, 2008. Rufus surprised me when he passed the Delta evaluation and became a Therapy Dog. He even got mistaken for Max at times. He enjoyed working but was basically a very lazy guy who preferred to be a couch potato. He was a very special guy and was a real trooper putting up with all that he had to with multiple health issues. He overcame many health challenges only to lose his battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed! Myah is a blue merle sheltie and what a charmer. She is the sweetest and the calmest sheltie you can meet. We rescued her from a very neglectful breeder who used her to win blue ribbons and then make some money off her litters. She is now enjoying a blissful retirment. Allie is our newest addition. She came to us as a very rambuctious and undisciplined 1 year old with no from a couple who couldn't care for her anymore. She didn't get much attention so she was chewing everything in sight including herself. We have worked hard on obedience and giving her a lot of love and she is not only more calm and responsive but she has stopped self-mutilating. She is becoming more responsive and I'm hoping that she will become the next "Max". I'm working with her now with the goal of getting her evaluated by the Fall, 2009. We are blessed to have them in our lives. |
