HYATT ROSE
Britton chose a magazine picture to be copied for her wedding cake tonight at Hyatt Regency. Gorgeous red roses and green hydrangeas were provided by Stephanie Barro, one of Austin's most talented florists (www.bouquetsofaustin.com), and cake flowers were arranged by Austin Cake Lady. The cake was an unusual color--ivory with a hint of copper and pink--not a color you could put a name to--just different and we liked it. It was very simply decorated with a single vine of ivy around each tier. It had delicious homemade buttercream frosting, smoothed to look like fondant. The cake was stacked one tier directly on the one below, and little poufs of flowers were scattered randomly on each tier. The cake sells for $2/serving plus delivery (which depends both on location and accessibility).
