Well, this is what we did all summer. Using a good quality scraper, about thirty high carbon steel blades, a Bosch random orbital sander, and a few 80 grit sanding pads, and all the old finish is gone. I have blisters that are healing nicely, but this job was well worth the effort.

This was done over the summer of 2004. The weather was awful here in Upstate NY, so we decided that this was the year to tackle the refinish. Next year, however, will be one of the best years this family has ever had on the water! (Next album, coming in a couple weeks, will show the decks completely refinished, with most of the hardware reinstalled. It's done, I just haven't taken the pics yet. Check back often!)
