(Intro. updated July 2008) I started teaching myself One Stroke in August 2002. I am self-taught by books, videos, and what I have gleaned from online friends (PLEASE feel free to sign the guestbook with words of advice, tips, etc!). I have since tried a tiny bit of Ros Stallcup (maybe 4 times--LOL!), and have 3 of Donna Lee Parella's videos and one of her books to try sometime. I am a stay-at-home mom to our 7 children--10 yr. old son, 8 yr. old daughter, 6 yr. old daughter, 4 yr. old daughter, 2 yr. old TWIN daughters, and finally another son, currently 2 months old! I also homeschool my 3 eldest, and will be adding "#4" this coming year. Obviously I don't have much time for painting, at least not until after 10 PM. :-) As you can tell by the dates, I have not painted at all for a couple of years, but hope to again, as I love it!

It seems I rarely have time to practice before jumping into painting a project, or I would never get any items painted! LOL Almost all designs you will see are my own, and several of the projects are the very first time I have painted a particular flower, etc. In my case, my projects are my practice time. :-) It seems I paint 2 or 3 projects, then don't touch a paint brush for 2-3 months. As a result of these "rare" painting spurts, I don't improve as quickly as I could, and don't get much painted in a year's time! I do LOVE the painting when I get the chance, though! :-) Enjoy viewing--should make some of you feel better about your work after seeing mine! LOL
