This is the story of how Irina came to be my daughter. In April and May of 2000, I journeyed twice to Novosibirsk, Russia to bring home 3-year-old Irina. It was the experience of a lifetime. Irina has brought a lot of happiness into my life and into the lives of the many people she has touched. Here are some pictures starting from pictures sent to me by people who traveled long before me, on to her referral pictures sent to me when she was 3,and on through my travels into Russia to bring her home.

Irina was born in Novosibirsk, Russia in January 1997. She was adopted in May of 2000. She had been in the orphanage all of her life. My adoption process, from the start of the paperwork to bringing Irina home was about 4 and a half months.
