ERIN'S ORCHIDS
Erin chose a small version of our offset square cake for her reception today at Arbor Pointe. The cake is a 3-tier, with two tiers Mexican Vanilla and a middle tier that's fudge. There's scrollwork in celedon green on the top and bottom, with the Riverplace Scroll on the middle tier--a single row of scrollwork that is elegant and goes around the middle of the tier. The little wooden topper was hand-carved by a family member to look like the bride and groom. Her mom picked up a whole GORGEOUS stem of white cymbidium orchids and their local drugstore for about $25...and the stem had approximately TWENTY flowers on it! Now there's a place to buy gorgeous flowers and I will find out the name for you. The cake is literally covered in orchids, alternated with celedon green tealight candles all over it. The silver plateau was provided by the venue. The cake sells for $2.50/serving, and the 'offset squares' are still about the most contemporary, most 'in' designs I've seen. Normally, they're in the 168 size that you'll see many of on our albums. If the cake calls your name, you call ours! 258-3703
