About Klassic Interiors
My name is Daniel Cope. I have been in the upholstery business for about 40 years. I started out working part time in an upholstery shop while in high school at 16 years old. My duties were sweeping the floor and stuffing cushions for furniture. Before I graduated I was promoted to installing the springs in furniture and finally worked my way up to be trained as an upholsterer. By then I was making to much money to consider college.( BIG MISTAKE ) I always loved old cars. My first car was a 55 210 sedan I bought from a junk yard for 75.00. I had a lady I worked with at the upholstery shop to cut and sew new seat covers for it and I installed them. They were done in blue metalflake naugahide if any of you remember when that was popular. Then I drove it to Earl Schieb for a 29.00 paint job. I have been in the upholstery business ever since. I have covered almost anything imaginable from caskets to pool tables, restaurant boothes, boats, airplanes. But my favorite has always been automotive. The past 15 years I have not done any thing other than auto upholstery. I had a heart attack a few years back and had to semi-retire. I closed down a very successful shop and started making these kits just to give me something to do. It has just about become a full time job again, but I love it. I decided to just do the tri-fives because they are my favorites. I have restored about 9 of them over the past 30 years, so I know what you guys are going through trying to get one together. It seems there is never enough money and if you have the funds then there is not enough time. As you can tell by the prices I charge, there is not alot of profit for me in these kits., but my objective is to make a nice looking kit using top quality materials that the average car person can afford. If you are looking for Hi tech custom job and have the money to put in it, I would go for it. These kits are not for that type of car. I have made many of these kits, and I would not hesitate to use any of them in my own car. The materials I use are very durable and easily cleaned. I use Ebay to advertise my kits. I sell one about every 4-6 weeks, but most of my orders are over the phone. You will never see many feedbacks on my Ebay sells because most of the guys that buy my kits are months or even years before they are ready to install them. Ebay only gives us 30 days to place a feedback. Also I normally am about 3-4 weeks backlogged with orders. Some of my customers sign my guestbook here on Picturetrail. If I can help you with your project, feel free to call me anytime at 704 575-3435 EST. and we can discuss options and prices to make you a kit. Thanks, Daniel E-mail skecpe@cs.com
